DESCRIPTION
Widow Jane Lucky Thirteen Year Straight Bourbon - The whiskey aging process is influenced by time & place. Aren’t we lucky. These barrels have all been influenced by the greatly varying temperatures & humidity levels of their original source and their time in our rick house in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The different rick house positions combined with climate variations have led to subtle deviations in flavor, all coming together in a hyper small batches, little more than a handful of barrels at a time.
Aged for a minimum of thirteen years, non-chill filtered & proofed with our own limestone mineral water from the Legendary Rosendale Mines of NY, Lucky Thirteen is always a way to share good fortune.
Tasting notes:
Nose - Vanilla Bean, Earl Grey Tea, Caramel & Sweet Tobacco
Palate - Pecan Pie, Whole Grain Toast, Grapefruit Peel
Finish - Nutmeg, Birch Beer, Dry Oak Tannin

Widow Jane 13
Personally I do t like it as much as much as I like WJ 10. Little less sweet up front, little harsh on the end.

Another unique bourbon from Widow Jane
I have heard good things about the brand, so I tried the 10-year and liked it enough to try the Lucky 13. A lot of good flavor for a sourced bourbon, and the age definitely helps. Though I do like it, I don't know if the $40+ cost warrants the experience. Maybe it will change as I drink more of it, but I don't know if I will buy another when this is empty.
