1 Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Batch #B522 - Like each previous version, B522 is non-chill filtered and uncut to preserve natural esters and taste components from barrel to barrel. Following batch A122 which was 120.8 proof, B522 is 121 proof. On the nose, this one is quite rich and effusive, with big impression of caramel, honey roasted peanuts, glazed donuts, citrus, vanilla frosting, clove spice and seasoned oak. On the palate, this is viscous and sweet up front, with heavy spice at the same time. Huge caramel and toffee impressions are met by simultaneous big oak, vanilla and a panoply of baking spice notes.

1 Larceny Small Batch - This small-batch Bourbon uses wheat in place of rye to create a soft, rounded character. The mild creme brulee aroma leads into sarsaparilla and creamy caramel flavors. At 92 proof, it's a wonder that the alcohol feels so moderate, but it makes its presence known in the cinnamon-firework finish. Attractive bottle design with clever keyhole label.

1 Heaven Hill 7 Year Old - Made from the distillery’s traditional bourbon mash bill, mingled in small batches, and bottled at 100 proof, this 7-year-old offering of the namesake brand exceeds the minimum four-year aging requirement for a Bottled-in-Bond. The Distilled Spirits Plant (D.S.P) number of the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Ky., D.S.P.-KY-1, and that of the Heaven Hill headquarters and bottling house in Bardstown, Ky., D.S.P-KY-31, are featured prominently on the face label.

Bundle #2 Review

If you have not yet tried the ECBP B522, you need to because it does not disappoint. It has that classic sweet oak pallet that ECBP is known for and a medium finish. I get a little vanilla, honey, and a bit of an overdone cinnamon role along with that sweet oak note.
