The Compass Box distillery has aged its whisky in casks that have been specially made for it. The casks are made from French oak for the heads and American oak for the bodies, and this gives the whisky a rich, intense flavor with baking spices and toasty oak accents. It has a sweet, full flavor with hints of clove, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
