Hypernova is the late-2022 Committee Release from Ardbeg. It is the latest limited edition in the Supernova series and the peatiest Ardbeg ever made! A malty magnitude never experienced, Hypernova radiates flavor in every direction - a peaty explosion equivalent to the stellar burst of a Supernova.
With phenol levels in excess of 170 ppm, Ardbeg Hypernova has a nose of creosote with soot and tar.
On the palate, a peppery mouthfeel leads into sweet chocolate, peppermint, peat smoke, bitter almonds and burst of spices like aniseed and clove.
The finish has heavy smoke, before returning to earthy notes of roasted coffee and smoked heather.
