400 Conejos Mezcal is the only true 100% agave mezcal. The story begins in ancient times when only priests were allowed to communicate with the gods. The priests practiced ritual drinking of agave beverages as part of religious ceremonies and for the spiritual elite.
The 400 Rabbits were collectively called "Centzon-totchtin" in Nahuatl. The number 400 was synonymous with “innumerable” and “uncountable.” It is believed that the spirit of the 400 rabbits carries on to this day in each bottle of this fine mezcal.
